MAGAZINE ADVERTS
Here is a brief analysis of Alternative Rock Magazine adverts from Kasabian, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Marilyn Manson and Paramore
Before even attempting to create our own magazine advert it was important for us as a group to have a rough idea of what a Rock magazine advert should look like. We designated ourselves a rock magazine to analyse each and make a presentation and bring back key points into our next meeting. I decided to look at Marilyn Manson 'Lest We Forget'. From this I created a Prezi and highlighted the key aspects of why I thought it was a good advert and what techniques we should take inspiration from. My other group members looked at different adverts, this allowed us to gather a wide range of conventions and techniques that would allow us to look at other conventions that may be found within the Alternative Rock genre.
In this video our group present our ideas about potential advert ideas to the other groups in our Media class. This is useful because the groups are very familiar with what we need to do in order to make a desirable magazine advert. We pitched our ideas to the class and below are their responses....
