Here is an analysis of Act Like An Angel
Our group discussed possible video ideas, we all agreed that we liked the slow motion used whilst chaos and destruction occurred in the background. We think this is effective because it emphasis the chaos. It also shows fits in perfectly with the hook of Act Like An Angel. One of the initial ideas is to have band playing their song and cut to the slow-mo when the hook starts. This will add an extra dimension to the video and hopefully show off our technical skills whilst also fitting in with the image behind the band.
The conceptual message behind the song is tremendous as the lyrics link perfectly with the music video. It would be amazing to emulate that through various motifs such as HPM stickers and clothes the band members wear in our video. Its important to consider the multi-cam shots that are given throughout the video. This would be perfect as Final Cut Pro allows us to do that and it would capture all the band members causing mayhem or playing music at the same time.​
​The song is perfect for what we are looking for as it can cover many levels and subjects. We could take the literal meaning of boy finds out girls true identity and is angry. This then leads to a performance that displays anger and seeking revenge. However looking at the different levels we can analyse these lyrics on a conceptual level where the band is protesting against the hypocritical nature of society. This contemporary argument can be labeled at the government and huge corporations who take advantage of those in need.​
This is a performance based video of The Foo Fioghters - All My Life,the rapid cuts emphasize the chaos and mayhem seen at a Rock concert which is a similar feeling we'd like to give our audience. I like the use of lighting as it follows the conventions of a Rock video.
